City of Dis
About
About City of Dis, its cosmicist position, its author and the best routes into the archive.
Cosmicism without consolation
City of Dis is an independent collection of essays, dispatches, philosophical fiction and reusable arguments written by Therion Ware. It treats cosmicism as a serious philosophical position rather than an aesthetic: reality is not arranged for human comprehension, consolation or moral centrality.
The site does not infer nihilism from human smallness. Value can remain real in human life without being installed as a property of the cosmos. Meaning is work conducted locally, among finite creatures, under conditions that do not guarantee a happy ending.
How to enter
New readers can begin with What Is Cosmicism? and A Lexicon for the Unflattered. The Philosophy, Stories and Dispatches pages provide guided routes; the Catalogue remains the complete record.
